by Jive » Thu Dec 14, 2006 23:27

Using XWE, select the option "Replace" the entry "MAPINFO".

Haaaappy? :D

Code: Select all

The Extension txt is not allowed

I understand, and I agree: some users (like you) like to listen music while playing. But you have to know that there are also many users who dislike to listen music, no matter are those musics.
I had to make a choice. I made it more or less wisely: no music in the pwad, no music in the game, thus there was only one line to add to the entry "MAPINFO" (Music D_ExMx).
There is a bunch of good addons containing only music. You (or any other user) could use one of them?
On this page of my site DLW "Historic BBS wads" (aka MRD), there is a section for Musics, with 35 pwads more or less well known, and a bunch of good musics.
Why not make additional pwad which includes MAPINFO, which overwrites MAPINFO on first loaded wad and will add the music MAPINFO option! ;) you can try that
Original pwad includes MAPINFO without music
and additional pwad which has MAPINFO with music easy isn't it? additional pwad with new MAPINFO would overwrite original pwad's MAPINFO maybe this is possible

I don't have good mood today..., i hope there's not going to be anymore flaming and bashing here! we need just to calm down and talk like true people

EDIT: Jive listen music is really needed for this wad put even original doom musics and wad will be a little better ;) levels are boring without music if you ask other people

by Paul » Thu Dec 14, 2006 15:08

The above post doesn't make you look any better.

No more flaming in this thread or I'm locking it. But, by all means, continue presenting your opinions on the wads. They are opinions, after all. But do it in a civilised manner. Thanks in advance.

REMOVED text inside because it includes unneeded bashing!

by Dutch Devil » Wed Dec 13, 2006 22:22

I still see misalignments on the updated shot you posted.

Well what the heck is going on here again? I don't catch that :? Why we're starting another war? That's just non-sense!

Jive, stop acting like a moron or get off my forum.

This is your last warning.

So, you should consult and buy (new) glasses...
Plus, if you have had read my html file, you would know that there is no skybox...

It is provocation for sure!!!
The most important part of my screenshots show that I made something else than just new skies:
the 2 first series are effectively about new skies, but what about the FIVE following ones? yes, they show also new skies, but it was not the most important change...

Ok, stop to argue with me using dumbass reasons, ok?
I won't answer anymore to this part, because the comments are stupid or out of purpose.
Period!

Music?!?
Pfff... I don't care, and the author didn't care himself, otherwise he would have put entries for music, right?
There was no new music, there is no music, period.

Atmosphere? Because you need music for such a purpose?!? Ok, ok, all tastes are in the nature, and it's legitim to ask for it. But I won't brake what was intended by Gusta while making entries randomly.
Music may change heavily the atmosphere. I will do it if and only if Gusta himself ask me to do it.
I tried several times to have a contact with him, but the est side don't care of the west side and they don't answer me.
EX@M, after some friendly first comments on icq, is now keeping the silence. I guess that they really don't matter to give us more than a wad, most of the time without any text file. Gusta made his own text file, and he wrote himsef:
- Music: No!

And now, do you have finally interesting comments?
NOBODY made it, for now... (of course, comments out of purpose are counted for zero).
The only one to write intelligently was Paul:
"Gameplay was nice, though visuals could be a bit better."
I could answer: it's exactly what I thought when I played the original pwad the first time. It's why I have rectified some of the most visible parts of the levels.

Lastly: I don't WANT to spend more time on it, because I have other wads to work on. Actually, I'm making changes to Epi-Hell, by Moe.

Hmmm?
...
The answer is: yes!

by Alter » Tue Dec 12, 2006 12:59

Jive you should do some big changed like making third episode! really because changing skybox doesn't change many things plus put music to it because there's zero atmosphere without music and no that's not bashing just
Suggestion ^_^

by TheDarkArchon » Tue Dec 12, 2006 12:55

The only change I can see with the majority of the screenshots is a new skybox which doesn't make much of a difference in most of the levels anyway.
