Download Skulltag Version 97c3 and install it like normal (the link has an installer and a zip file, whichever you prefer).

Next, download these two packages and use them to overwrite Skulltag.exe, skulltag.wad, skulltag.pk3, etc. Then use ZDL (or some other launcher is you prefer) and load the wad. DONE!

If you find any bugs in the GL renderer, report them in the Bugs Forum. Please remember that this is beta, and while there are only very few and minor bugs found so far, there could still be more. :D

I have to admit that I found this very, very tedious. It's endless slaughter repeated ad infinitum. Sorry, not my style. :(

No, the gamestyle will be simple ST Invasion, has nothing to do with Stronghold!

by Dutch Devil » Sat Apr 28, 2007 20:13

So this project offers the same type of gameplay Stronghold will have? I haven't played it yet cause I don't have Skulltag.

The screens look nice but I noticed that all of the screens have an flat design, there isn't much difference in height but maybe thats not important with maps that have these type of gameplay.

If I can find the time I will check it out it looks nice.

It's in developement, but not yet released.

Where can one get this Skulltag with the GZDoom renderer? It says you recommend it, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the ST forums.

by Tormentor667 » Tue Apr 24, 2007 19:11

It does, although it's quite harder then

by Vader » Tue Apr 24, 2007 16:41

As long as it also supports singleplayer, I'll definitely check this out soon

by Tormentor667 » Tue Apr 24, 2007 16:07

Yeah, sure it is, as well as playing online with it :)

Looks good!
I've never bothered to try Skulltag until now... is it free just like any other sourceport?

There's none yet online but I'd appreciate it if someone launches one, as I'd like to see on my own how these maps work out online. ;) Other than that: Have fun!
