Never had too much of a problem with my ATI Radeon 7000-MOBILITY card on my laptop. Only issue I have is with edge because it's video support isnt the greatest :( Edge likes to break the drivers and lock up my computer.

The ATI Rage series has extremly funky OGL support. I had a hell of a time getting OGL working on a Rage II PRO, and that was the "best supported" Rage series card (that I had).

I'm not sure you can download or use Open GL fully with that card. I think my father's laptop has the same card, and I could only barely get EDGE 1.29 to work after tinkering for a while. You might be able to use GL based games or ports, however, so don't fret. Test it out. I'm just not sure you can see or use all the bells and whistles that Game or Port A offers. Sorry. :(
