Scaling weapon sprites???

Hi.
I've been having a curious problem lately, trying to scale weapon sprites(in xwe).
It used to work with version 1.10 of GZDoom(example: d3 weapons mod), but no longer works with the latest one.
The way to do it was to simply create a dummy sprite with the same name as your image. The dummy sprite was put between the SS markers and the image outside, you then used hirestex to scale it like you do with textures.
I'm just wondering why this was removed from GZDoom. :?
If anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. :wink:
