Here's another submission from me, the baseball bat. It uses the graphics and a sound from WildWeasel's mini mod, so some credit goes to him. The graphics are modified to look better in Doom's pallette though. The weapon only has a primary fire, but the primary fire can be used to attack enemies and knock back projectiles.

Mooload is suddenly having server issues and I can't get either of your files. Could you stick them someplace else like Rapidshare for the time being?

I kept hitting refresh until it downloaded.

the MP Bat, though, didn't download properly- I'm trying again.

EDIT: The bat's pretty cool. Horizontal swings aren't my thing but anything that lets me play home run contest with an imp's fireball is cool IMO.

Super Crossbow (If Heretic had an SSG, this would be it)

Weapons that were in it but were dropped:
Bullet Dispencer - Converted Shells to bullets, since through most of Doom you have near 100 shells and almost no bullets, it ate 10 shells and gave 50 bullets. Idea was kinda stupid and sprites sucked

DB Musket - Needed sprites
RF Missiles - See above

EDIT: Crap, didnt take off the editornums or assign the weapons all to slot 8-0 (I was originally gonna submit this to the WRW). Sorry :/

Thats fine and I respect that, but 3D Realms says not to rip their sprites, and more than half of 'his' sprites in ICD are from Duke3D/Shadow Warrior. So, I dont respect his wish anymore and will rip them as I wish. Only thing stopping my is 3D Realms' original statement ;) .

The thing about ICD sprites is that, not only did Cory work really hard to edit them to the point that they are, most everybody at the Armory is getting really damn sick of seeing them all over the place without further modification.

Submissions Reviewed:

Lord Mattus' Ice Pistol mark 2 - Rejected for the same reason as before. Quit using the ICD sprites. Your recolor job has just made them look even worse.

Marty's WOAD pack - the fists are good and have been Accepted as power level 1. The pistol is a nice graphical edit with good power, but the sound effects kinda bug me (the clicking noise after every shot, and the really lame cocking sound for the reload). I've accepted it regardless of the sound problems. The harpoon gun might come in handy in an RPG like Warcraft, but it's pretty much useless in an FPS, considering that the average monster in Doom can do more damage to you up close than over a distance, and the accompanying melee attack is just too weak to consider using. (Perhaps if you could rig it up so it'd work with Berserk.) I'm putting the Harpoon on "needs improvement" for the moment. Finally, the chainsaw combo is fun and satisfying to use, but the idle animation is really jerky. Don't make the idle animation jump around so much (a single pixel's difference in position would be enough to get the point across).

MaxPower's bat - A nice fun melee weapon, with good damage and nice "customer satisfaction" with the knockback. Unfortunately, this weapon has a very fatal bug in it that freezes ZDoom when you die while wielding the bat. You might want to inspect that.

Phayzon's weapons - The Alpha rifle is okay, but the firing animation has no recoil. The alpha chaingun is decent but functionally no different from the regular chaingun. The alpha plasma rifle is also okay, but one of the fireballs launched from it looks way bigger than the others (a green one). The plasma-shotgun is fun to use, but the sound is unbearably loud (hint: create clones of the projectiles and nullify their seesounds, so that only one of the projectiles makes a sound) and the recolor job looks like crap. The Projectile Spewer is a hoot, but the sprites for it are barely modified from their Doom 2 counterparts (outside of the EPS lettering, which doesn't show up if the player is using the status bar). The super-crossbow does its job, but the SSG reloading sounds pretty much kill it for me. Either remove those or find better ones. The Q1 Nailgun is the only weapon in this bunch that's accepted. The rest need improvement.

Marty's Harpoon - Needs Improvement (adjust the melee damage or make it work with berserk)
Marty's Chainsaw - Accepted
Max Power's Bat - Needs Improvement (fix that death bug)
Phayzon's Alpha Rifle - Needs Improvement (add recoil to the firing frames)
Phayzon's Beta Chaingun - Accepted
Phayzon's Beta Plasma Gun - Needs Improvement (fix the scaling on that one giant projectile)
Phayzon's Plasma Shotgun - Needs Improvement (fix the projectile sounds)
Phayzon's Super Crossbow - Needs Improvement (get rid of or change the loading sounds)
Phayzon's Quake 1 Nailgun - Accepted

Ok, Ill get to work on the improvements. Sorry about the Plasme Shotgun's sprites, they were much higher quality until they were put into XWE :(

In the list part of your post, my projectile spewer isnt listed, is it rejected or needs improvement?
