Assuming you are running in OpenGL mode... VSync is in Options -> Display Options -> OpenGL Options -> Vertical Sync (it is close to the very top)

strafe jumps sticking too Xtife?

it seems turning vsync on fixed the problem 
its perfect now
still dont understand why that fixed it, as iv forced vsync on my video card
i didnt know you could strafe jump
