Well, it's not
necessary since there's compiled builds available; but it isn't not recommended: it works fairly well. For the most part, the process is exactly the same. You just need to get the glext.h and wglext.h files and put them in src/gl/...

Thank you for uploading 1.0.26. Now my demos run perfectly.
And thanks to Gez for your input on compiling GZDoom. Speaking of compiling, I think
this thread should be a sticky.
