The fail state and weapon piece crashes from 96x.

Does trying to use the Chi Gem in this WAD crash the game?

Yes, but looking at the code next to mine, there's no difference between them in terms of frame durations etc. However once I put an A_Print in the frame right before the Fail, no crash. Taking it off again made it crash.

Posting a complete WAD that crashes might help. Code fragments alone are useless in most cases. With a WAD I could run it through the debugger.

It's ok, via a long-winded route that uncovered some weird stuff (mainly involving powerupgivers) I managed to fix my item fail states and weapon pieces. (yay for good old scripting hacks)
