Off-topic, but do you need help with pokestien still? Coding and what not?

Really? You'd help me with that? How good are you with coding? I've got some things that need to be implimented into Pokestein 3D:
Two new guns
New ammotypes
New enemy
Email me and I'll send you the source code with some more information.
All I need help with on that project is coding and that's about it. Without the coding being fixed, I can't really progress with Pokestein 3D.

I can do the Two new guns and ammotypes, but I'm shakey on the new enemy. What's your email?

I guess this is an official update on what's going on with the project, but it's offical now: Icd-Lizard ZDoom Edition is on hiatus until further notice. Sorry.

If you need someone to code the enemy, I could do it, if by coding, you mean in Decorate

As far as I know, it's a mod for Wolfenstein 3D.

Zeg-Vok, Pokestein 3D is a mod for Wolfenstein 3D and it uses actual coding like C++ (I think that's what it is).

It'll probabally use standard C, just like Doom.

Hey guys,, I've got a few announcements. As of right now, Pokestein 3D is once again in hiatus. Coding is really slow right now and so is the level editing. I was also kinda preoccupied with other stuff (College stuff, Skulltag, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance, hehe). But don't worry, after playing several rounds of some Coop games and Singleplayer games in Skulltag, I am inspired to do some more work on ICD-Lizard:ZE.
All I need are some FPS shots of the RPG-7 (just the side view) and the XM16E1 from MGS3 (both side and iron-sight view). I need them as bases for the guns. I still plan on releasing a "lite" version that would be compatible with other versions of Zdoom and Skulltag.
Also, there will be an official name change to the mod too. It will no longer be called ICD-LIZARD: ZDoom Edition, but a different and shorter name too.

This is just a quick note to prevent people from getting too excited and getting their hopes up too high. I'm just making an idea here, so don't hold your breathe for it ever being made.
Once I finish ICD-LizardZE and maybe even release a 3 episode demo for Pokestein 3D (yeah, I wish I was close to doing this), I'll probably call it quits with the modding stuff. But before I do, there's always one thing I've wanted to do: Make a Rockman Zero mod.
Ok, the big thing about this is that you start off with 2 items and that's all you get. Of course, you have the Z-saber and the Z-Buster. The weapons don't use up ammo, so no need to worry about that. I just want people to use whatever item they want and not have to worry about collecting ammo. Just pick a weapon and slice, dice, and blast away. Why only two weapons? Because I learned the hard way that sometimes having tons of weapons at your disposal can be a hinderance to gameplay.
The primary firing options are probably no-brainers. The Z-Saber lets you dice, slice, and chop away at your enemies. This (i hope) will be the weapon that players would use the most. If you kill someone with alot of damage (think of gibbing someone with a direct BFG blast and they have 5% of health left) then their death animation would be the enemy being sliced in half, just like if you were to slice someone in half in RMZ. The Z-Buster will shoot standard shots like from RMZ. It'll shoot faster than the Doom Pistol and it will be a bit stronger as well. The only weapon that could be duplicated would be the Z-Buster. It's pretty much like the PlasmaRifle from Doom, except slower shooting. I know the Z-Saber can be duplicated to an extent, I just can't have a new Death Animation (the cutting the enemies in half).
All the weapons have secondary firing options. The Z-Saber executes a charged close-range shockwave type attack. For simplicity's sake, the charging up will probably be like the BFG9000's charging sequence, that is, it'll automatically charge up, so there's no need to hold the other mousebutton. If that were to be the case, the charging sequence will be fast. The Z-Buster can charge up and shoot a charged blast. Again for simplicity's sake, the charging up will probably be like the BFG9000's charging sequence, that is, it'll automatically charge up, so there's no need to hold the other mousebutton. Just like the Z-Saber charging, the charging sequence will be short. In fact, the charging time for the Z-Buster will probably be shorter then the Z-Saber.
If there's some way to make the character (the player) act differently via DECORATE, that would kick ass. What I want to do is make the player be able to Dash for a short time. Also, I'd like to let the player be able to wall jump just like in Rockman Zero. It may not be possible in DECORATE, but if someone wants to prove me wrong, go ahead.
Probably the hardest and most tiring task is the graphics. I'd love to try and do the graphics myself, but my style probably wouldn't work for it. Also, having the player graphics for everything would be a real pain in the ass to assemble...
If there's one more thing I'd like to have in this game is have something like a Player Select screen. Ok, this is gonna be weird, but only thing that changes are the Beam Saber graphics and the Player sprites (that also includes the hands). Besides being able to select Zero, you'd be able to select a secret character... Ah fuck it, you get to play as EVA from Metal Gear Solid 3. Why her? If you saw this one Flash movie I made a long time ago called MGS3:Zero, then you'd know why. (Too bad you can't see it anymore though...) She'd use Zero's Beam Saber from the X-Series. It's pretty much a skin change for the Z-Saber, nothing more.
I'd love to see how a game like this would work in Coop games and especially for Multiplayer matches... but like I said, don't hold your breathe for it.

Here's a real update in terms of how things are going with my mods:
ICD-LIZARDZE (Immoral Conduct: Lizard Edition: ZDoom Edition) is still in hiatus. I don't have the resources needed to keep going. That's about it. I still want to make a "Lite version" for people who want to use this in Skulltag (me especially :p). The full version with Decorate support won't be coming for quite some time. Oh and expect a name change for this mod too. Look at the name I have right now for it. Isn't it a mouthful? :p
Pokestein 3D is making slow, slow progress. I have decided to check out the coding mess I made and I did manage to fix the Bolt-Action Rifle so now you can switch back to that gun between the other guns. I still need to fix the bug that allows you to get the Heavy-Machinegun (Chaingun) and Assault Rifle. I have even more great news, I managed to finish off one level for Episode Two. If I remember correctly, I have three more levels to make to complete Episode Two! Now that my spring semester is almost over, I may have some time to work on Pokestein. Oh and here's the newest enemy (that is, if I can impliment the coding for him)
All the graphics are complete and I even have sounds for him too. He's a Poke-Army Youth Club member, Pichu. Also called a Pichu-Soldier for simplicity's sake. He's supposed to behave like the Doom2 Chaingunner, that is, if he sees you, he'll keep shooting you until you drop dead or you kill him or you get out of his sight.
I'm seriously considering putting up a page for Pokestein 3D on that Mod Database site (ModDB for short, IIRC). You guys think I'd be able to get much needed exposure for this mod if I post up there?
That's all for the updates.
