Killmur, you must remember, it's all in an opinion.
Personally I love XWE, not once have I had it crash on me.

I would rather use XWE than WinTex but at the current stage XWE just is not as powerful as WinTex in a few areas namely the ability to properly setup the cordinates for new sprites. Also XWE still needs a proper audio playback feature like WinTex has. I hate WinTex with a passion since it is not the best for making mods that require higher quality audio, music and graphics files. I do love and abuse the ability to look at the lump files in XWE. I have to use both WinTex and XWE for my work.

The latest beta version (at Doomworld) lets you click and drag the sprites on screen, or as an alternative, you can align them with the keyboard.
Also XWE still needs a proper audio playback feature like WinTex has.
The latest beta lets you play most sound files just by highlighting them (even with the keyboard) - it doesn't allow you to play back OGG, MP3, or MIDI music.

I have given up Wintex for nearly two years now and haven't regretted it since.

Uber good news: I still have the old KB version and tainted decorium beta, and I can resend them to you if you want.
Looks like you gotta download mIRC again though. :/

'Bump'
Ohh modders block. :/
I've been out of the loop too long. I want to get back into modding, but I just can't seem to hook myself back in. Suggestions to doing so?

Find something you don't like in someone elses mod and fix it. Do it enough and you'll end up getting back into modding. Works for me.

Thats the thing: I usually like everything in a mod.

Well nitpick, such as "that guns could do more damage, the other gun slightly less".

Alpha Millenium
-Max ammo for all weapons increase by either a half or a third
-Weapon power increased slighty (Either by power, max pelettes, max amount of projectiles ejected, or speed)
-All ammo pick ups besides the single shell dropped by the shotgunner increased a bit
-Replaced the 9mm pistol sound and the unshealth/sheath sounds
-You now start off with a 7 round 9mm. Not much, but you will find another weapon/ammo pretty soon
New shot of hud:
