Here's my crappy attempt at making the shotgun more Strife like. Yes, he's holding it in the most uncomfortable position imagineable, his thumb is impossibly long, and it generally looks bad, but it's merely a test to see how feasible it is to add Strife hands to something. It was hard to do, but I like it overall. I have to say it is a decent result!
You don't have to use this, Deathsong, but if you like, I can easily edit together some other graphics to make the shotgun. I'll do anything to get a shotgun added to this project, darnit! :D Frankly, I would saw off the barrel and make it look a little more futuristic before I would use it. I can do that however.

Actually, the posistion of the hand, ignoring the thumb, is pretty comfortable.

That's not bad at all! I'll play around with it and see if I can get something I like. If not, I have no doubt that there's better to come. In other news, I've done the terrain lump, which is suprisingly thrilling. I spent about ten minutes lobbing projectiles into the river and the big waste pit in town. I've also got the pistol all ready to go, and it looks pretty cool. Once I finish the new peasants and Acyoltes, I think another version will be released. If there's anything else you guys want to see in Strife, please let me know now.

I know this probably doesn't belong here, but since this is about Strife, I feel it is appropriate. I hope you don't mind, Deathsong. :) Anyway, I've edited the Assault Rifle graphics to make it look as though the Strife guy is holding the magazine. The frames include the standard RIFGA0, followed by a short animation of the Strife guy grabbing the magazine, and then holding it. Firing frames are also included!
You don't have to use this, Deathsong, but I thought it might be cool to give to others. If you like, I can move this to the resources forum if it clutters up your thread.

I always thought the Strifeguy was holding it one-handed like the Acolytes do.

He probably is, but if you notice, the sprite for the Strife guy and the Acolytes has a shoulder strap that is missing from the actual weapon. Also, I just think it looks cooler if he holds the magazine. :p

Awesome work, Snarboo. Feel free to clutter my threads with it at any time.

The new frames have been added to the wad and the DECORATE has been altered to use them. Looks much better.
EDIT: I've finished the Shotgun, so only the Acolytes stand between you and a new, shiny version. It is, however, 5:00 am, so you'll have to wait while I sleep. Thanks for your help.

Are you running the latest version of GZDoom?

NEW VERSION!
This version features the pistol and the shotgun, skyboxes, a Terrain lump, and the beginnings of the monster modifications. The only lssue I know about is the fact that some of the pickupmessages refer you to the wrong weapon slot, because I made some last-minute adjustments to the KEYCONF lump, to give each weapon it's own slot. Enjoy!
You gan get it
here, unless you happen to be Chrono, in which case
this might work

I like it! I'm definitely going to have to play through Strife again once this mod is finished. I haven't played very far into it yet, but I'll let you know if I encounter any bugs.

You might want to try redownloading it. I made a few bugfixes.

Alrighty. I'm currently editing the shotgun graphics. I'm going to try to add pumping animations to it, as well. Would it be okay if I uploaded my work to the thread?
