Well, it's just a teaser, something you can look at to know, that work on the Sapphire Sequel has just begun. It is very likely that the exterior parts will only consist of brown/orange/beige rock variants and some blue water but no vegetation or stuff like that. You will also find some buildings and installations that will remind you off the Space Station from Sapphire 1 so don't worry, you will get your variation ;)

Another view, to make things a bit clearer:

Well, to be honest, that texture doesn't look anywhere near good as a wall texture.
It's terrible. Use something that doesn't repeat itself so much it's sickening. Use something that doesn't look like a 1996 amateur 3D rendition's texture.

This is just about the skybox, I am still not pleased with the amount of detail and the rock itself, so don't worry ;)

Not for me, except the place where these small alcoves had a refelctive floor AND ceiling. Other than that i really liked the floor/ceiling mirrors.

I'm drooling over your skybox, I will make a map that is similar to yours (a space base in the middle of, well, Space!) and I really want to know how you did that skybox. How you use HI-Res pictures without being screwed by the game?

This thread is really, really old. In the future, please check the last posted date to make sure you're not reviving an old thread - it tends to get annoying for some people.
