News:
- i have decided that i will not put the grins of divinity pistol. maybe i will put the Duke Nukem 64 pistol.
- i'm planning to modify the SW sword to make it look like the one on this photo here:

i just want to make a small homage to the Dead Or Alive series. originally i was going to make a DOA-inspired weapons mod.

A DOA themed weapons mod? I can just see it now, weapons 1-6 : Breasts with realistic bouncing, 7 : Kasumi's dagger.
I really can't see how that would work out =p Unless it was solely melee.

I've tried to make weapon mods that center entirely around melee attacks. None of them ever made it very far, because Doom is simply not designed around melee combat. There are too many situations in which a player would be unable to complete levels because he could not reach a vital button or enemy.

Hehe, even back in the day, my Closer_X even had a couple of ranged weapons for great justice use. Nothing too special back then but I balanced the close-rangedness (for lack of a better term and rational thought due to tiredness since it's 2:06 a.m.) by making everything uber-powerful.

If you're using imageshack, you don't need to use spoilers or copy and paste - imageshack has thumbnails. Copy the "Thumbnail for Forums (1)" code from your imageshack page and paste it here. Bingo.

Ah! the hands on the double barreled shotgun are um....odd.
Are you going to replace them?
everything else is awesome. I'm liking the deagle.

You might wanna schooch the shotgun a little bit to the left.

Updates:
- Removed the double barreled shotgun.
- Added better sounds for Shotgun and M1X pulse rifle.
Notes:
i tested the mod with the most recent version of gzdoom and i'm having problems regarding transparent colors. what happens is that the hi-res weapons in that version have a cyan box around them. i use an older version of GZdoom (v.1.0.10) and everything is fine. i don't know if this problem is from the png files. i already made a topic at the GZDoom forums but i need to send my wad file. but the problem is that the file is too big to attach. i'm seriously thinking about uploading it to Rapidshare.

It is probably from the PNG files, as my own PNG test wad has the same problem.

and how do i solve this problem? i use irfanview to set the transparent color that is usually cyan.

I have not looked into the issue yet. I do know, however, that saving the PNG's using Paint Shop Pro seems to fix things. But if you're stuck with IrfanView, you might try looking up the PNGOUT plugin. I don't know if that'll fix it or not, but it's worth a look.
