Nice one(s) Enjay! Do you still happen to have any of the screenshots you took of that fire effect I sent you?

I don't think so, but I can easily take some more when I get home from work. Do you want me to post them in the screenshots thread, or send them to you?

Seconded, but Enjay said he was playing with someone elses level. I'd love to see them both though and compare :)

Well, only go to the trouble if you're so inclined. I just thought if you still had one of the ones you showed me, you could post it. There may soon be a few screens to pop up using it at the zdf website anyway.

Above and beyond, Enjay, above and beyond! A video even! My goodness. =D>

I purposely made the animations robust, to give folks plenty of options for implimentation. The other 'particle effects' I've made will soon be rewritten to make use of the new SwitchableDecoration feature that is now available. I'm sure you'll agree that was a much needed addition to decorate!

I've seen those flames somewhere before...

Three of the seventy-two frames used there did come from another game I think. I sure couldn't tell you which though, and the end effect is entirely different than anything I'd ever seen before...

They remind me of the postal two flame graphics quite a bit, but to see them in Doom is almost enough to bring a tear of joy to my eye.

Pure beauty.

Impressive effects indeed, they look awesome, almost like a real Hardware-powered Engine :)

But unfortunately, the saddest thing is that when viewed from a steep angle from above, they look nothing like flames, but flat paper cutouts. =(

Yep, I took the idea from Legacy, Zdoom decals never really looked doomish enough to me. I'm waiting for the original Actors to become modifiable though.
