You sure that it isn't because of the contrast setting I'm using in GZDoom? The actual sprite looks fine.

The contrast on the pistol itself looks a bit odd. The space underneath the hammer should be darker, and the weapon looks too white-ish to me.

I messed around a bit in Paint Shop Pro and got a nice result. I just cut out the silver part of the gun only, used the Gamma Correction tool set at 75%, then bumped the contrast up by 25%. It turned out rather nice, I think...

Interesting Fact: The gun was actually an aqua color, but the conversion to the Doom palette turned it blue :P

You can save them as 256-color PNG's and then load them as raw data in XWE. The original color ought to be resorted then.
