Actually, I was looking at the console commands and found a cvar called GTANG. What does it do?

It's a test variable for Randy's polymost code. That code which is taken from BUILD suffers from many cryptically named variables that make the code extremely hard to read.

I tried the Polymost test. It didn't seem to work in OpenGL; in software, I could seem to "draw" some walls before it crashes horribly.
buggy as hell.

I know. It's completely unfinished code. And I don't have much interest in it. There is no link between it and the GL renderer whatsoever. If GL is on it never gets executed.
