Importing High Quality sprites in XWE?

How do you do it? As soon as I import them the color quality gets reduced to the crappy doom2 palette. If I import them as Raw Data they don't seem to keep the offsets. What gives?

Just try to memorize the offsets, I guess...

But it doesn't seem to keep them.

Load it as raw data, offset it as normal, then select Image -> Apply Alignment. DO NOT save it.

Are they PNG graphics? If so, move them to the appropriate offset and then find the menu option that says "Apply Offsets" (sorry, I forget which menu it is in) before moving on to the next graphic.

Do you need it in a wad? Can't you just plop it as a PNG file in a zip?

As of the most recent XWE beta, you can set the offsets for a PNG file outside a WAD. That may be useful to you. (Just open the PNG then set the offsets as you would one inside a WAD.)

I've noticed that when you first load them into XWE, it looks like it palletizes them, but fear not, so long as [PNG] is next to the offsets at the top, you're good

As Enjay as mentioned in his previous post, the latest beta of XWE supports offset editing for PNG files (in other words, PNGs that aren't inside a wad), so SetPNG is obsolete already, as far as offset editing goes.
Also, in the latest beta, there was this feature I requested that got added:
You can tell XWE to not convert your PNG when you drag and drop your PNG into a wad. Cool, huh?
