What an interesting question.
I don't believe you insert it into GZDoom itself.
GZDoom should respond to the -playdemo switch like all the other ports and vanilla do.

If you want a demo to be in a .wad file and play automatically when you open the file. Then make sure the demo name is demo1.lmp and put it into the .wad file as normal.

You could also add the following to your gzdoom.ini file

Code: Select all

[Doom.AutoLoad]
path=demo1.lmp
That way you don't even have to put it in a wad or zip file to work.
But in all honesty,,, I don't know what you want to do with the demo.

Stop repeatedly bumping your thread. The gzdoom.ini should be in your gzdoom folder (with your username on it). If you still can't find it, then you must not be looking hard enough.

You can't watch vanilla doom2 demos with (g)zdoom anyway.

Huh? It's not gzdoom.ini, should be zdoom-<username>.ini. And as I said those demos won't play in gzdoom. Use Eternity or Chocolate-Doom if you want to watch those demos.
