every time i launch the port, with any iwad and with or without pwads, gzdoom freezes anywhere from seconds after launch to 10 minutes after launch.
i can't alt-tab out or anything.

- system specs -

winXP pro
2gigs RAM
athlon 3500+
ati x800gto with 3.8.231 omega drivers

i can't figure it out, but it seems that this port just hates my system.

Does ZDoom freeze as well?

zdoom runs perfectly
and while zdoomgl runs fine, there are visual glitches.

so, i tried running gzdoom in software and it ran...
but it still freezes almost immediately if in gl mode.
so, it seems i have an opengl problem...

It may be your drivers. Have you tried using the official catalyst drivers instead of the Omegas?

trying that as soon as i feel good enough to (flu)
