Hello!
I've seen that somebody had this problem before but he did not get any solution for his problem so I want to ask it again.( anyway the topic is located
here )
So the deal is:
I've got a high-res weapon sprite in PNG format and when I wanna to play the game,a huge, cyan box appears behind the weapon.I am using Gzdoom 1.0.24 .

The background of the gun (which you colored cyan >_<) must be in true transparency, otherwise GZDoom will draw it cyan =P

Remember: Cyan is available under GZDoom with the usage of "True Color". In Software mode it would recess it to the nearest color the Doom Palette offers, however, if you don't use PNGs cyan is transparent

Probably a stupid question - but how to do transparent color for background?I tried to do it with irfanview,it saved successfully with a black background, but the cyan box is still here when I run my wad.

The GIMP does this perfectly P: Just select your image, cut it off and put it over a transparent layer P: Or just erase the background P=

Well I am not wondering why there aren't any true color weapon....it is fucking difficult to do transparent colors and it's not worth it.

O_o
Puh-lease learn using Gimp or another image program via help files. It is not THAT difficult.

Then why there aren't any true color weapons if it is so easy?I checked help files and nothing about transparency.

There may not be many true colour weapons (I'm sure I've seen some) but there have been loads of PNG sprites and textures released in various projects and they all use proper transparency.
The first time I made a transparent sprite I didn't know how to do it and it took me a quite a while to find the options I needed in Paint Shop Pro because they weren't in the most obvious place (IMO). Oh, I should mention that a "quite a while" must have been at least 2 minutes.
