Making a weapon,

Okay so since im not a ordinary noob, i dont know jack shit bout making guns 
but so say... lets try this:
Things i have:
an alright cpu,
Doom builder,
XWE,
Paint, (duh)
Something that might help me?
I am trying to do so:
Making a Doom 64 plasma gun fire a modified projectile (different projectile than the plasma)
How do i do so?
