I think this piece needs a better name.

Suggestions are welcome. The winner gets a small surprise (but don't expect too much. )

ZDoom Legacy

Please be serious. Under no circumstances whatsoever will the name Legacy in its name.

A few serious titles (involving the word "Doom"):

* Grafdoom
* GrafdoomGL (emphasis on the GL)
* Z3Doom (note the clever placement of the 3, making "3D")

Serious titles not involving the word "Doom":

* Heritage (clever take-off of "Legacy")

Not-so-serious titles:

* The Graf Zahl Experience (think Jimi Hendrix)
* Fallen3D
* LEDGE (Lavishly Enhanced Doom Gaming Engine)

I like GZDoom. I see nothing wrong with it and I like the fact that the Z could be both the Z of Zahl and Zdoom.

Thinking on the basis that Doom2 was Doom, but with new great stuff.
This port is ZDoom, but with new great stuff.

But like Enjay said, GZDoom is a good name. Considering it could mean many things.

Graf ZDoom
GL ZDoom

Too bad Z is that last letter in the alphabet... You could have done the next letter up.

ZDoom2 already exists, though.
