Realloc error message

While trying to load a saved game in 1.1.2 Gzdoom crashed and I got this message:

Code: Select all

Execution could not continue.

Could not realloc 737010252 bytes
Im not sure if that's a bug (hence why I did not post it in "Bugs"), because souds to me like some sort of memory problem. It never happened to me before, so I'd like to know what's the cause for such error message.

I serached in this forum and I found a similar post, but that one mentioned it in a multiplayer map, and graf's answer just confused me :P

Any idea what's the most common cause for this to happen?

I'd say broken or incompatible savegame that fell through the validity detection.

It happened when i was playing Eternall map03. I had been playing it for, let's say, like 20 minutes (yeah, slow player in large maps), saving and loading, I never closed the game since I started with the new savegame, and at some point, when loading the saved game (due to my errors when playing), this problem appeared.

Then, today happened again (same map  ) but this time was when I was trying to save it, instead of loading. :?

I hope one day I'll be able to pass map03.

Do you still have the savegame? Can you post it? This looks like a problem in the savegame code.

Oh I forgot to mention. Everytime this crash happens, the savegame dissapears (you see why is so frustrating?). Now that I think about it, this problem was found before, just that GZdoom never gave me an error message, it just hanged and that was all.
