I took the liberty of ripping the UT2004 sniper rifle just because I wanted to make it into a DECORATE gun. It was easy to rip, and when imported into XWE, the Doom pallete didn't seem to harm it too much...then I used it in the game, and it has an UGLY UGLY looking outline around it, making it look like shite. Is there anything I can do to fix?
Here's a screen.
Spoiler: Spoilered for your safety
EDIT: Whoa...the image was not that bright when I saved it...

You'll have to open the graphic in another program and trim the edges off of it - as it stands, it seems this thing got mauled by anti-aliasing around the edges (most likely from sizing down a high-res screenshot).

I did have to size it down...I took a screen 1024x768 and just used IrfanView to resize it...I could have taken a shot at 320x240, but the gun would be much much more jagged and ugly, with almost no details...

You say you used IrfanView - did you use the Resize or Resample function? Resampling adds a filter that may hinder your ripping efforts.

Well, I went ahead and ripped the gun at 320x240...at least it doesn't have the ugly outline now...but the palette kinda ruins the gun a little bit...
