DRD Team

The DRD forum is now phpBB3. I'm opening the forum now, but I am still doing some last-minute touchups and things. Enjoy!

Please note the following:

• Posts containing custom BB codes, such as [spoiler] and [/s] were not properly converted. The conversion script does not automatically convert these, so any recent posts you have that use these codes will need to be edited.
  • To do this properly, edit the post, and simply check "Disable BBCode", and hit submit. Then edit the post again, and uncheck that same box. The post should now show your BB codes properly.
  • If you wish to remove the "Edited by" message, send me a PM with the post ID's in question.
• Subtopics have been removed. If there is a high demand for them, they will be put back in.
• Doom Armory has not been converted. I am going to open the phpBB2 forum on WW's site so it can continue to be used there. Old forum is now open. Wildweasel's site has been updated to point to it.
• There may have been bugs in the conversion (I sure to god hope not). If there are, please send me a private message.
• RSS feeds will not update. (yet)
• All inactive new registrations have been pruned. If you registered on the old board and never answered your activation email, then your account was deleted.
• Search currently does not work. At the moment, there is nothing I can do about it. Fixing it seems to involve bringing the board down... again. In the meantime, you can use Google... but it will never be as good as the real thing. I did an off-line indexing and reimported the search database. Search SHOULD work now, please report any problems.
• The Picture of the Week feature is disabled. I suspect it never really was used, anyway.
• A good bit of consideration went into ensuring that all old bookmarks and URL's would continue to function. If you have a bookmark that does not work, please report it to me in this thread. I would greatly appreciate the assistance! Thank you.
• Styles are also being installed a bit slowly - more will be added later! Unless a style is requested, I think I am going to stick with what's in place.

Done, but unsupported right now. It will not show custom titles properly.

And, just looking through, it's not only this forum. Its any forum that a regular user can't create a new topic in.

Bleh. These stupid permissions. I'll fix that, hold on.

EDIT: All permissions are reset for Registered users. I haven't done the group permissions yet, but things should work properly now.

And, about the signature thing... I am going to fix that. The 60 character limit is a legacy of the way the old forum handled custom titles.

Now I got it BTW, why don't you add the front site logo to the forum? The forum still displays the old DRD Team logo
