I am taking models from DaniJ's model pack designed for doom source port Jdoom and making it possible for the models to work in other ports such as GZDoom and Skulltag. I do have permission to do this from Dani. When the two model packs (DRP and Skulltag Specific Models Pack) are completed they will be placed on the Doomsday addons page, and hopefully links to the downloads will be placed in the download's section on the skulltag website. I will be making a list of the models that dont have a modeldef written for them yet, if you want to contribute download jdrp 1.1 off the doomsday addons page, make a working modeldef for a model that is in the list below and pm it to me or post it on this topic. Any contributors will be credited for there help in finishing the project.
Ds201 on the Skulltag Forums is helping to finish the project, anyone else want to help?

Good work! I'm glad that someone is doing this. I have always meant to have a go, but never found the time. BTW, Sitters has made a new shotgun HUD model (and some other models) that are available at the Risen3D site. The shotgun model is much closer to the Doom original that the one in your pic IMO. It might be worth checking them out and, if you like them, asking if it is OK to use them.

A lot of them are the ones for Doomsday repackaged for Risen3D but increasingly there have been models made that are for Risen3D first. Sitters produced some very nice ones for the (relatively) recent Risen3D release. I really like his tech lamp models, for example, and his realistically proportioned soldier/zombie models whilst not being entirely true to the Doom sprites look very good IMO.
They can all be gotten from the model packs on the Risen3D site, but some are also available as model downloads from Sitters' own site.

Why do people persist in taking my models and not giving me credit...
Those tech lamps that you are so fond of Enjay were actually created my me, not sitters. However they seem to have had the skins horribly disfigured, the originals are much higher quality.
EDIT: And in a wicked coincidence the hires textures they are pictured in front of are mine too, lol. Albeit rather blurry versions of them but the same nonetheless.

I didn't realise those models were yours. To be fair, I haven't dived into the text files for the model packs. you could well be credited for them. It was merely my assumption that they were by Sitters because I got them at the same time as a bunch of other models by him. Sorry for any confusion that I may have caused. Are your versions available for download anywhere?
The textures are part of the pack compiled by KuriKai BTW. Again, I'm not sure who he credits in the pack but I know that he certainly doesn't claim to be the author of all of them or anything like that. The blurryness might be down to me resizing the picture for putting on here and because it's a jpg.

Well I'm not too impressed with some of the current models in jDRP v1.01, but jDRP v1.1 looks impressive so i shall finish this project, with this project finished and the model definitions done, going v1.1 will be easy, just take model definitions from jDRP v1.01 put it in v1.1 and change some easy stuff like md2 names and paths in the model definition text file.

Hey its no biggie, I'm really not bothered all that much. Glad you like em anyway
Personally speaking, though I like many of sitters models (especially the corpses) they are so far removed from the DOOM graphical style that they look like they belong in another game.

Actually, looking at the models again, I don't think they are the same, assuming that yours are the ones in jdrp1.1. I've looked at them in game, in a model editor and looked at the skins in paint shop pro. In all cases, they look pretty different to me. For example, the jdrp Big lamp is made up of more individual models but only has a single skin image. The one in the Risen3D pack has more skins but is made of less individual models. For what it's worth, the configurations of the skins are quite different too.
Here are some engine shots for comparison. Doomsday then R3D
And a size-reduced skin comparison shot.
For the record, I like 'em both for different reasons.
I hadn't actually played with the jdrp1.1 before today. In fact, I didn't even know it existed. There are some very nice models in there.
I agree that some of Sitters models, such as the hanging corpses, are not really that much like the original sprites. Personally, I like them and use them in Risen3D. I can understand why other people might not be so keen on them though. They are, however, an optional add on rather than being in the main model pack.
