It's been some time that a I didn't appeared here, in DRD Team... Actually, some people told me that the forum was dead... It's a funny world we live in, huh?

Well, dispite my absence, I see that Logan still work in his publicity of LOS.

What I can talk about my friend best project?

A year ago, I had the honor to play the first part of the First Map's gameplay in my birthday party, and it was amazing. I really saw the hard work and the Logan's 3 years experience in mapping. And follow all the progress that he made on months later. Unfortunately, I played only this single part, because Logan sayed: "I don't want you test it, I'm making this mod for you*, so, I want that you play it complete." Some other people, like Enjay, who played the others maps, could speak more than me. :)

* This "you" actually mean the whole BrDoom Community, his friends and his girlfriend.

Legacy of Suffering really use the features of Graf Zahl's Doom engine, and many people wanted a WAD like this: a new Doom, with new elements, but, with the classic Doom feeling. In 10 years of Doom community I didn't saw any WAD like LOS.

LOS is nearly complete. It's a victory to us, the fans, to the brazillian community, to the GZDoom Engine, and to the DOOM itself. I'm really anxious to played it. :)

I'm waiting for the illustrations that tell the story of the wad.

But the artist who is drawing the picture works as a paraplegic turtle. :(

In no way do I want to teach you or correct your behaviour, but this quote kinda striked me. If I was you I'd rather be thankful that someone did whatsover donate their time to help you with their mod and I'd give them any time in the world they want. You know, with Real Life and stuff, without being paid, someone who indeed helps you with your project I'd be very grateful for that alone.

And your mod is looking awesome.

Well, I can understand your frustration, and indeed paid services should be given a little higher priority than other things - but even still, artists will always be artists.

The thing about artists is - they have their creativity when they do. If you try and force it out of them, or get impatient, quality work simply doesn't occur - paid or not.

It's a pretty tough cookie to crack - but believe me, you're better off learning to live with it and not cursing him publicly or even privately. You're free to ask him how he's doing, and offer more money for progress (as incentive), but it's wise to never make it seem like it has to be done at a certain time.
