When switching to windowed mode then back to fullscreen the screen flickers badly. I can confirm that doing those steps again makes it go away though.

Anything you can do to give a bit more info? eg grab a video of the effect?, what are your system specs, which version of GZdoom are you using?

I'm using the most current revision, GZdoom 1.4.3.742. Here are some system specs.

ATI Radean HD 4600 Series, Driver 8.681.0.0
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+. Driver 6.1.7600.16385
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Edition
8.00 gigabytes of RAM

I'll see about capturing it in action in a bit, but i can't promise anything.

Well, no luck on that video capture due to only having fraps, it won't allow me to record in windowed mode. Any recommendations on recording software? I've also confirmed this doesn't happen as soon as you boot gzdoom but after extended gameplay time.

I tend to lean towards it's ATI's fault, although I don't switch from windowed to fullscreen (or vice versa) often.

It's also better if you mention the CATALYST version since the driver version # is lost for the rest of us.

So can anyone help me with recording software ? Google isn't giving me good results, i would really like to conclude this obscure problem.

The problem is that you are trying to record both the game and the desktop and most software does one or the other but will have difficulty with both. What about just recording a vid on your phone or something (provided you can get a good enough picture)?

I have no cellphone, but i think i've got a good substitute. I'll see what i can do.
