Skyboxes, Custom sky issue

Hello,

I'd like to create a custom sky for my outdoor areas but I'm getting clueless about the skyboxes. Adding my own textures into the wad and editing the MAPINFO worked well, but the render was kind of ugly. I followed a lot of tutorials, tried within all format (gzdoom, zdoom, hexen format), experienced with different setups and engines... nothing worked, the expected view does not appear and the ceiling stills. Also, I opened a couple of wads with skyboxes, and even testing these maps was disapointing.

I really don't know what I am missing since I tried for several hours and searched on the internet. Hopefully this post won't be considered as flood, I'm kind of new when it comes to edit WADs, still skybox seems to be such an easy trick so.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

That'd help if you supply your wad in question.

To create full surround 6-image skyboxes for GZDoom is not that easy. They have to mesh exactly,
as you probably have found out. :)

There is a program, TerraGen, which will do that perfectly.

Best of all, it is freeware.

And, there is also Nem's Tools.

I had used it years ago but cannot now remember how I faired with it.
Might be worth a try.
