Why should I post my system specs when I ask for help?

How to post your DXDiag (this forum does not have the spam filter mentioned in his post - but all other info is relevant)

Other information we need is what error messages you are getting. If you can provide screenshots of the crash it would really help. Often times GZDoom will generate a crash dump that you can post on the forum - that will help, too. If you are not crashing but just getting fatal error messages, then posting screenshots of those will be even more important.

Eruanna is correct. First off, please tell us what version of the game you are using. Second, tell us your PC Specs, along with your crash report (It opens a dialog box when it crashes. Click "Save Report to Disk..." to save it. Then upload it here) Third, for more assistance, tell us what options you enable, or better, post a screenshot. Are you also sure that the drivers you use are up-to-date? Remember, if your PC isn't a very fast computer I'd recommend turning "High Quality Resize Mode" to Off. Does it solve the problem? If not, I'll be sure to post more about this subject.

You must restart GZDoom to switch the renderer

does this help?

Here's your problem. Judging from the DXDIAG log my guess is you do not have a proper driver installed so you do not have any decent OpenGL support.

For the record, this is the true latest release of GZDoom.

The problem is not in GZDoom itself but in the video card driver.
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)
Microsoft's driver doesn't support OpenGL. Install the latest driver from nVidia.
