Proper high resolution support (5760x1080)

i understand that the resolution is supported, but all game play is unplayable.
The pillarboxing is brutal, almost as much as brutal doom is...

Here is an example of an eyefinity/nvidia surround setup displaying the game properly.

Attached is a screen grab of my problem.

If there is a solution to this, please let me know!
Thank you!

*Edit - I'm relatively certain that the aforementioned resolution is a 48:9 aspect ratio.

Your aspect ratio is so wide that it is not yet supported. You should consider submitting a feature request in order to support it, but there is really no promises that it will occur; there are a lot of variables to consider including the insane amount of stretching that will occur with such an extreme viewing angle that will invariably have to be corrected; and since Doom is a 2.5D-based game and GZDoom uses ZDoom as its base (which is still a 2.5D based game with a very limited software renderer), there's almost no chance that there will be any sort of stretch correction implemented to fix this problem.

Indeed, you may have to settle for a pillarboxed mode. The field-of-view increase needed to combat stretching in wider modes is not likely to look any better. You could force your display to stretch the aspect ratio but that would be nastier than what you have. :(
