Hi
I'm new here on the forum just joined made an account, the issue i'm having with GZDOOM is the following one posted below-
R_OPENGL: OpenGL driver not accelerated! Retrying in compatibility mode
R_OPENGL: OpenGL driver not accelerated! Falling back to software renderer.
R_OPENGL: Reverting to software mode...
Switching to software renderer...
You must restart GZDoom to switch the renderer
Then there's a hovering message displayed on my PC monitor "Input Not Supported"
I've never experienced this issue before just happened all of a sudden I cannot play GZDOOM in Open GL I'm forced to play it in Software Mode which i really really hate

everything does'nt look as good or smooth as it is in Open GL everything just looks kinda ugly in Software Mode
P.S I don't have the latest/greatest cutting edge gaming PC i just have a basic low end pc but everything was working great before, everything looked great in Open GL mode and i was happy now i'm sad

That means your graphics driver is unable to create a hardware accelerated GL context.
To provide any kind of help you have to tell us what kind of graphics card you use and what driver version.

If you are having difficulty identifying some of your hardware, you might find a utility such as speccy useful.
https://www.piriform.com/speccy
The free to download and use version will be fine for your needs (the pro version is the one that you have to pay for).

Your hardware definitely is too old to run GZDoom 2.x and at the very lowest end to run GZDoom 1.8.
If you run 1.8 and still do not get an accelerated GL context my guess would be that something went wrong with your graphics driver.

Really? This just happened by itself?
After you did what?
Probably downloaded the latest gzdoom-g2.1.pre-xyz and tried to play with that?
Note in the Graphics section where it specifies the OpenGL version of your computer specs
Graphics
OpenGL Support 2.0
OpenGL 2.0 supports only up to GZDoom 1.8.xx.
For the newer GZDoom 2.x version you need OpenGL 3.x support.

Ahh I see, I thought maybe my hardware was too old turns out that's more than likely the case I was actually considering getting a new pc I've had my pc since 2007 i know that's hella old but I can't really afford to get a new pc at the moment yeah more than likely something went wrong with my graphics driver guess I'll try 1.8 if it doesn't get an accelerated GL context then it's time to ditch my old PC
Anyways thanks for your help was very helpful
