True 3d Lighting

I'm pretty sure this has been asked many times.
I'm also pretty sure Graf has nuked the request many times.
That being said, this is a new year, and I'd also like to request that: Any plans for actual true 3d lights?(Dont go through walls, affect models,etc)
I know it's a lot of engine work, so Ive never had my hopes up for this. As Vavoom is now pretty old, it's pretty limited now.
