[2-1-1] "Transparent" executable, need help

So, earlier today, I was loafing around on Steam when my computer suddenly locked up. I decided to manually restart the machine, but it constantly displayed "Cable Not Connected" when I started it back up. I took the cover off and wiped some of the dust off of the graphics card (a GTX 950, two-fan model) and made sure all the fans were working properly and not jammed. It still displayed "Cable Not Connected", but after a lengthy pause it finally started back up, though it seemed to have already passed the graphics card's booting screen and the "loading" screen. I had to manually change my resolution back to 1280x800p, but it seems to work now. The computer sounds perfectly fine.
What I'm worried about is that whenever I try to boot up GZDoom, it seems to be "transparent". In other words, I'm seeing the desktop, but I know GZDoom's open, and I can even blindly navigate the menu, start a new game, shoot, etc. etc. I really don't know what's up with it, especially since other games (such as Quake II on Steam, and OpenRA) work just fine for me.
Just for reference, my computer's a Dell Inspiron with a 3847 CPU, running Windows 8, with a PNY-made GTX 950, two-fan model. It's also got a Corsair CX430 power supply. Everything else is stock.
Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?
