GZDoom on OSX

Any chance of getting this beast to work on a mac? Reason why I ask is because I'm selling my PC and going for a duel 2GHz G5! :D

If not then I'd have to unfortunately drop out of the comunity, which, TBH, doesn't really bother me because I'd rather make super high quality music that has the potential to get me somewhere in life rather than making good doom levels that probably won't get played that often. I do enjoy modding for Doom and I do it for my own enjoyment, but the only port on the Mac ATM is Doomsday. I will use and mod for that, but i'd rather use GZDoom ;).

Oh, BTW, I don't care what some little brats opinion on a mac is. This topic wasn't designed to create a debate based on weather macs are better than PCs or vice versa. I don't care.

I don't have a Mac and I don't intend to buy one, so the answer is no.

If you want to sell your PC in favor of a system that doesn't support Doom properly it's your problem. :P

If that happens, it will be a sad loss for the community as your maps are innovative, good looking and fun to play. There's nothing stopping you making good quality music for the rest of us to use though - just that you won't get to hear it in a mod. ;)

I thought that PC emulation on macs was possible - even quite good in some circumstances - but maybe I'm wrong, or maybe it simply wouldn't cope with the demands of gaming.

Yah, and once they hit x86, you will probably be able to install Windows on 'em... Mac OS might care what system it's on, but Windows sure won't give a shit!

IIRC, Mac OS X has been "leading a double life" according to Steve Jobs. (I.E OS X already supports x86 processors)

Yeah, that's true and you probably will be able to install windows on a intel mac in the future.

Well, it looks like I'll be saying good bye to the doom comunity then. Although Doom isn't going to get me anywhere in life, so I don't really care.

@Cutman: Yeah, and what evidence do you have to support that fact apart from your stupid ignorance?

You only care about things that are going to get you somewhere in life?

Well honestly does it really matter?

Facts:

1) Gzdoom isn't coming to Mac. Case closed.
2) If you don't care about the community, you shouldn't be here now.

Now leave and go create some noise on your new beloved machine so we can actually get back to some more relevant dicussion about Gzdoom, which is why this forum was created.

I really don't need crap like this. Fight your battles elsewhere!
