Resource demand check.....

I can now officially rip audio (and possibly video if I can get a better comp) from any console game system.... At the moment I have only Game cube, so the question remains. If I were to rip all the audio SFX from, say, Metroid Prime, would anyone use it or even appreciate it?

I might. I can't say since I've never had a GC.
(BTW Does MGS: The Twin Snakes use the PSG-1 and SOCOM sounds from MSG2? If so, I'd appreciate those babys.

)

No clue, all I know is that I have the hardware and software necessary to do graphical and audio rips from console games now.

MGS: Twin Snakes has completely new gunfire sounds compared to MGS2. That being said, if you can get your hands on it, I'd love to have the Socom firing sound from Twin Snakes.

You guys aren't gonna believe this, but I got the ripping stuff to work and it's ripping all the video stuff UPSIDE DOWN. Wierd, but it works quite well, and I believe I can provide mpegs or AVI's of console game stuff now. So yeah, it works and i should be able to rip any console game's weaponry!!

Oh, if you could rip all the metriod prime weapons (incliuding all the stuff like combo missles) and from metriod prime 2 I would love you so much and I would forever be in your debt (metriod prime is the only fps i play other then doom).

I'd recommend a few rips from the Timesplitter's series, especially the MKIII Plasma Rifle from Future Perfect. Anything else is up to you.

Here's the deal, I can offer AVI's of the weapons in action. I'm still tweaking with the software to make it compressed etc, unless you want it uncompressed, which'll take a long ass time to send to whomever. I can't get projectiles, only weapons unless the game has multiplayer, and even then it'll be a little bit of a bitch as I doubt the quality of the picture in a splitscreen game isn't gonna look too great. So yeah, projectiles are still up in the air. However, I can get the weapon in action along with other footage, but you need to do the ripping of the sprites from the video etc. As far as SFX go, I can get whatever as long as I own or can easily get the game (and it's worth playing

) Those are my terms, and right now I don't have much to work with so bear with me as I get these configurations down correctly.

Agreed. I would definitely have a use for that beauty.

I got a copy of Twin Snakes... So you want the SOCOM, eh? With or without the silencer?

The unsilenced version, if you please. (Tip: Record it outside or in an area with no music, and shoot into the air so there's no ricochet sound)
