Grubber, I looked over a bunch of sites for counters, and the simplest one for me to install seems to be at
this site. The code appears concise and straightforward, but it said I will need "write permission":
If you are running this script in a windows hosting account then ask the administrator to give write permission to this file. This is important as we will be writing this file with new data on every page request of the main file.
I couldn't quite understand if this is the case for me to install the counter. Let me know what you need from me before I put the code on my main page. Thanks.
Another page I came across, which seems to offer a much more advanced counter, is
here, but is also far more complicated, and I may stay away from it for now.
