Automatic Hot Coal Launcher? WTF? Does it actually shoot "Hot Coals", or is it just the name? So many questions, so little answers...better to just...forget them...leave them upon a forgotten pillar in a dark corner of your mind...just sitting there...waiting to be remembered...just waiting....just waiting...HOLY CRAP! I think I just kinda freaked out there for a sec, with all this kick ass news about TSP2. Eh, it happens.

Yes, it does actually shoot hot coals. Who would name a weapon something like that unless the name fits the meaning of the it?

What do you mean? It's not exactly smart to name your weapon, lets say "Plasma Ball Launcher" if it launched shotgun blasts right?

The Knights Aedis were a small group of highly-trained individuals. Their skills were immense - while they were perfectly capable of fighting, like most knights of the realm, but they were also skilled in the manufacture and design of siege weaponry. Ballistas, trebuchets, traditional catapults...nearly anything was within their grasp. Even, as it seemed, primitive firearms.

The hallmark of their designs was "Singe," a man-portable siege cannon that could launch hot coals at blinding speed. The weapon itself was a straightforward design - a carry handle on top, and a lever action on the back that engaged and disengaged the firing mechanism. But the innards were something of a black box. Only the Knights Aedis were certain of how it worked on the inside.

One thing was for certain, though - what it lacked in grace and accuracy, it made up for in customer satisfaction.

The Stranger Part 2
  • First and foremost: the Siege Cannon has been coded and implemented. Moderate speed, good power, and quite inaccurate. But it's still better than the firemace.
  • The Gasbombs were modified again - primary fire throws a bouncing bomb, alternate fire drops it at your feet (useful for chases).
  • Added poison damage to the gasbombs and removed their Ripper effect.
  • Added a coughing sound for poison damage.
  • Gasbombs now replace the Time Bomb of the Ancients.
  • Fixed an error with the assault shotgun cocking twice when reloading.
  • Fixed the pocket shotgun a bit, so it shouldn't reload when you're out of ammo.

The tomes of power were, for a very long time, completely forbidden. It was said that he who recited their passages aloud would obtain the ability to manipulate the world as they saw fit. But with such power, the populace feared that mankind simply wasn't ready to deal with that sort of power. So the Tomes were locked away and never seen again.

All that changed when the Serpent Riders came to the city. They were in search of these tomes - the same sacred texts that would grant humanity the ability to modify the entire world as they saw fit. D'Sparil knew that if he had the Tomes, he and the Serpent Riders could create a new world over the ashes of the old one.

Since getting their hands on the tomes, D'Sparil's minions became careless. Lacking the ability to read the runic language written on their pages, they merely cast the books aside, deeming them worthless. Yet, when one capable of reading them had found them, they could unleash their power and vanquish those irresponsible daemons once and for all.

The Stranger Part 2
  • The Tome of Power effects are being planned and implemented. The first one to make it in: the Pocket Pistol acts as a blaster, firing a quick and slightly more powerful projectile. It still must reload, however.
  • Other Tome effects planned: the Pocket Shotgun will shoot mini contact grenades, the gasbombs become white-phosphorus grenades, the assault shotgun becomes automatic and shoots fragmentation rounds, and the dual revolvers will use their Terrible Secret.

Very interesting, awlays been a fan of mini grenades, I like to call them beads. :P

Anyways, I have a request, and an odd one to boot. Would it be possible if I could write a backround for the next weapon you make, like you did for the siege machine? You could PM me the details about it.

I meant, like, for instance, a projectile was JUST NAMED "Hot Coal" because of what it looks like and it's effects. Like the Hornet Missiles, or something much like that. I just thought of a semi-stupid, humerous, and slightly cool power-up/weapon... a "Can Of Whoop-Ass". It is counted as a weapon and when it is raised the Stranger says some thing like "Don't make me open this can of whoop-ass on ya!", and when he does open it, it makes all of his attacks stronger, like the DoomSphere from SkullTag that you can find on the ledge thingy in the "Feild of Grass(?)" that you can see from the "window" where the grenade launcher spawns on the first level of "The Mortal Conflict".

Corwin I don't have (currently) time to get to the hot coal launcher pickup, but it's a matter of 2-3 days really.

That's okay, it's no big rush. I've got several other things I can do with the mod while I'm waiting (as well as other mods I could be working on =P).

:( . I just wanted to know about the new(?) mods(?). I'm just curious. And please don't say "curiostity killed the cat". I'm sleepy. I got a helpful idea. A huge drill(ya know, the cone shaped ones) that kinda works like the chainsaw. Or a smaller one that in mounted on top of the Stranger's hand.
