May I join this community? Do you accept me?
You are surely advised that I'm the owner of the site Doom Legacy Wads (aka DLW), dedicated exclusively to this port.
I was with Hurdler (Thierry Van Elsuwé) when he was implementing fragglescript, and I made the map demonstrating the capacities of the new OpenGl engine and of the scripting thingy.
Today, I announced to this community that I was leaving them, and that I'll join the GZDoom's Community... if you accept me.
I'll build a new site, dedicated to GZDoom pwads (100 % specific ones, and pwads certified free of bug and compatible with this port).
It will be named "GZDoom Wads" and it will be a depot, like DLW is a depot for Doom Legacy.
If I ask it to you, it's because I have huge problems with Linguica, who HATE me, and with some of the members of the Doomworld community.
So, I need your approval and your "Welcome"...
I plan to make another Doom Family Album, this time dedicated to this community and to Zdoom, if you are pleased with it.
For those of you who are not advised of it, my site has nearly 1 million of visited pages (there are 37).
Thank you for your attention.

I'm so happy to find you here!!!
What a good news!
You are surely one of my oldest friends in the doom community.

I don't see why you wouldn't be welcome here. Well, welcome to the Gzdoom community.
I remember your site from a while back. When I was new to doom + internet, I used legacy as a source port (first one I found out about). I remember going through your website looking for levels to play. I look forward to a GZdoom incarnation, and hopefully I'll help fill in a currently mostly empty void of gzdoom maps by release my own.

Of course no!!!Xtife wrote:i hope that does not mean all the hard work you have done on your wads over the years will have gone to waste
I'll keep all the precious stuff alive, mostly because the quasi totallity of the wads is GZDoom compatible!!! There are only some very specific pwads dedicated to Doom Legacy (of course, Vile Flesh will stay THE megawad full of Doom Legacy features, a sort of masterpiece for me. Gwyn Williams is the author, and I made it full of Legacy's features. 5 months of HARD work)

I don't know if any of us have had anything that amounts to acknowledged permission to be part of this community - other than no one has told us to go away.
We've all just pretty much turned up and started doing our thing.
I'm aware of you. I'm aware of your site. I'm sure we've probably even had some kind of "conversation" via a forum or something somewhere in the past. If you're worried that you might be carrying some kind of "baggage" from Legacy or Doomworld, well all I can say is that it's pretty irrelevant to me. I'll make my own quiet judgements based on how I see you doing what you do. You've come here offering to contribute to and further the community. I'm in no position to speak for the community, I'm not sure anyone is, but hey, the more the merrier.

A website dedicated to Gzdoom wads? Do you have a good host for that? Well then, DRD Team offers it's space for you.
I've been at your site very often. A very damn fine site. I've got a lot of wads from there as well.
Welcome ofcourse.

This sounds pretty interesting. You might wanna check a sorta "zdoom family album" that has been worked on as well, to get some of our photos:I plan to make another Doom Family Album, this time dedicated to this community and to Zdoom, if you are pleased with it.
