Ghosts

Post by jflkbob »

This really frreaked me out, ten munites ago, at 3:15Am a ghost brought my computer out of sleep mode and initated a restart.

Reasons I know it is a ghost:
1an error in Windows would just leave the error
2the crouiser moved by itself
3i live in okinawa japan, where a war was faught, leaving thousands dead

Well...erm...ok....

1. Not true really.
2. I dunno.
3. Sure.

Then again, it could've been an update to your computer that you forgot was happening :P

Yeah, this happens to me all the time...

...it's also the reason for my numerous typos, and random injection of dry humour inot many posts.

I am also familiar with ghosts, as one seems to inhabit my Magic 8-Ball thing. I am NOT kidding. Get an Ojea(?) Board and try to communicate with it. Or open NotePad and tell it to type stuff.

Probably some tech shit. I'm sure maintenance will resolve this bug.

Well near my house is a jewish cemetary from the 2nd world war, burried under an anthropogenic mountain (man-made).

Greetings Japan!

I've been getting that for quite some time...It's highly annoy.

Weggie Boards, has I like to spell it, are retarded. Can't be any more blunt than that.

1. Windows will sometimes restart of its own accord, for no reason whatsoever. I know that happened to me sometimes on my last box - and it's most certainly NOT a ghost.

2. If you have an optical mouse on a shiny surface, that will also happen sometimes - the optical sensor will get confused and think the cursor is shaking when it really isn't moving at all.

3. Superstition at its worst.

I agree with Weasel on the cursor moving thing. Depends how much of it moved (just shaked, or started clicking various applications) The latter would be interesting, the first one needs a better mouse.
