This is an SRB2 project that I started quite awhile ago, only 1 level is finished so far, but I'm working on getting the other levels done.

Looks pretty cool. Maybe the magma areas could use a tad more lighting variation, but so far, rather interesting.

I've never been a sonic fan, and I don't think many 2D games look good in 3D, but throw in more detail and variation and I might try it :P

Have you ever played SRB2? :P, it was actually built on the Doom Engine by
a team called Sonic Team Jr.

Yes, I've played it, and TBH I don't think it was all that good.

S3&K had more detail, tbh. I think it'd be better if it has 2d scrolling like a certain Castlevania style mod. :P
