I know that gzdoom supports md2. Is there anyway to import any other sort of 3d model? like 3ds?

Im hoping apon vain hopes that Graf will wake up one morning, and say to himself "Man, I think .dts model support would be nice in GZDoom." But . . . Im not holding my breath for that one :D
