How does one alighn textures on a 3D floor? Why do we call them 3D floors? After all, we can do far more intresting things with them aside from just floors... :D

Call them extrafloor (like EDGE) if you like. I don't care! ;)

Alignment on them is additive: The offsets of the actual linedef where they are displayed plus the ones of the transfer linedef.
