[Solved] Heretic not displayed correctly

Advanced OpenGL source port fork from ZDoom, picking up where ZDoomGL left off.

[Solved] Heretic not displayed correctly

Post by Jive »

I don't understand what is happening!!!
1) JHeretic is fine (JDoom)!
2) Doom Legacy and GZDoom are displaying it wrongly...

Huh?!?

Check your autoloaded data. Something in there must have its own palette that doesn't match Heretic's. The colors look like it is using Doom's palette instead.

No, it was not my "autoload" section.
But your answer gave me the explanation: I have the use to play ALL of my doom pwads with one of the addons made by me and containing new sprites, textures, etc... AND, of course, a Doom's palette, and I totally forgot to disable it!!!
CQFD !!!

I had only to remove the use of this addon, and, of course, I enjoyed Heretic with a correct palette.

Thank you for your precious help, Graf !

And here is Hexen, incredibly well rendered. Yes, Hexen was also using a Doom palette :-(
