OpenGL mode help.
Hello.
I need help with using openGL mode. When I try to change it from software mode to opengl mode, the screen refreshes, but it doesn't say opengl mode.
Did I miss something?

Here's the foolproof way to check.
- Right click on your desktop and select Properties.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Advanced button in the lower right corner.
- Select the Adapter tab on the window that appears.
- At the top of the window, in the section labelled "Adapter Type", should be the name of your graphics card.

If you mean attempt to run GZDoom on my new computer, then yep, I'm gonna try it in a bit. Otherwise Doom will rain on me for every good mod that requires openGL mode (just kidding, but yeah, I wont be able to play openGL mode mods on my home computersGraf Zahl wrote:It should be if the correct driver is installed. Why don't you just check it?

It's so stupid though, there's no one in my town who plays Doom like me who has ZDoom/GZDoom who can test openGL mode.

Oh well...

The ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series is not just a graphics chip but ATI's entry into the chipset market. The ATI - NVIDIA battle continues ...
@GZDUser: Since that chipset is definitely OpenGL capable, you might try to change the resolution to a lesser setting. like 640x480.
If that helps, then gradually increase the resolution. I usually play at 1024x768.
