How about some piranha-like monsters you can throw at your enemies? A la the snark (is that it?) from Half-Life? =p Okay, maybe that doesn't fit in with your project in any way, but I think that's a weapon that needs to be done more frequently.
Recently, i had a problem with my motherboard. i couldn't even turn on my computer. Now the problem has been solved. But this has a high price: My video card! The new motherboard doesn't have any AGP slot and only two PCI slots so i can't keep my Radeon 9250 video card. Instead, i've got an onboard video card, which is very bad because, usually these things aren't good for running the most recent games.
I tested two games: Need For Speed Underground 2 and Doom (with Gzdoom in opengl mode).
In NFSU2, i noticed a drop in my framerate even though the game graphics are set to the lowest detail. other than this, everything is pretty much the same.
Unfortunately, the same thing can't be said about Gzdoom. I noticed two big problems so far. first, the title screen doesn't appear. second, the default sky textures doesn't appear as well. i installed the drivers from the official Asus website. my new motherboard is an Asus K8V-VM.
there's also a huge problem. correct me if i'm wrong, but most of the video cards are for AGP slots. i don't know if there's a good video card for installing on a PCI slot. (when i say good, i mean a video card capable of making me keep up with today's games. i wish i could buy the game Test Drive Unlimited but there's a big problem and is system requirements.)
PCI-E (I.E PCI express) is not the same as PCI. PCI-E 16x has become the dominant standard when it comes to video cards these days so finding even a half-decent PCI-E card shouldn't be too tough
After a brief period of hiatus, i started to think about some new ideas for new weapons i could add:
- I got bored of the camo sleeves idea. so i'll remake some of the weapons.
- I'm thinking about replacing the Usp Tactical with a pair of Desert Eagles. But i don't know where i can find it. Also, taking out the anti-aliasing is a very boring job.
- I've also been thinking about adding three weapons: The Railgun from Shadow Warrior, a recoloured Serious Sam Coach Gun, and the shotgun from Sin.
If you're adding the Sin shotgun, at least try to do something different with it - I can count at least four mods that have used it, not counting Cory Whittle's first usage of it in cw-sin1.
Jericho Double Barreled Shotgun (source: ww-mixed. that serious sam-inspired mod.)
RP-36 'Pacifist' Mk.2 Assault Rifle (Source: SiN + Pickup sprite from Crusader: No Regret)
Mossberg 500 (Source: Modified SiN shotgun from cw-sin. different hands and slightly different animation)
Since the mod is going to be totally different from my initial concept of being a mod inspired by the Rainbow Six series and the first Metal Gear Solid, i made a backup of the old version. It was awesome at first but for some weird reason, i got bored. The worst part is to find a unique weapon and think of a unique concept.
- I'm working on adding a new player class in addition of the default one.
This new player class is the "UAC Recon Vehicle". It's a modified Pigcop's Recon Car with the Doomguy as the pilot. I even made a cockpit for it. It's a modified cockpit from Battlecruiser 3000AD with the chainguns from Equinox plus the weapon icons from Descent 2.
To call the ship and exit from it, i binded the I and the O buttons respectively. When you call the ship, the cockpit will appear and you'll start flying.
I made the cockpit just like a normal weapon. unlike the other weapons, it isn't affected by the IDKFA/IDFA cheat codes.
