How to map for gzdoom?

Hi, I usually map for zdaemon and doom2.exe and I want expand my mapping skills by mapping for something a bit more new school. So what do I need to learn to map and what programs would I need, does doombuilder do gzdoom?

Here are some points to consider:
  • 1. Most of GZDooM's specials are those of ZDooM, with some notable exceptions. So if you have even a passing familiarity with editing for ZDooM (as you clearly do with ZDaemon) you are well into being able to map for GZDooM.
    2. Some of the terrific features of GZDooM (and this list is by no means exhaustive) are true 3D constructs, more advanced skyboxes than ZDooM, dynamic lights, and support for models. Learning the ropes for each of these features is relatively straightforward. Read through the posts in this forum to answer many of the basic questions on GZDooM editing, or ask questions.
    3. DooMBuilder does indeed support a configuration for GZDooM.
