Phew. I finally finished the animations for the Heavy Machinegunner guy. And now I present to you guys the demo of The Exterminator: Full Edition**.

http://www.geocities.com/lizardcommando ... l-beta.zip

It's a Geocities site, so if you get that crappy error stating something about bandwidth issues, check back again in an hour.

As for the mod itself, it has most of the enemies replaced with my cartoon Lizard guys. The enemies have new sounds. There's even a new weapon (which you can only get by cheating). The Heavy Machinegunner's death sound is only temporary. I was trying to find the death sounds for the marines in Half-Life: Opposing Force, but I can't my disk to install it again. Can anyone get me those sounds for me?

I need some feedback for this. Right now, I am considering a few changes:
  • *Have the LVArmor fire projectiles instead of bullets.
*Get rid of either the Silenced Machinepistol or Assault Shotgun
*Make the LVArmor's death a bit flashier (have it spawn debris when it dies)
[/b]

That's about all I can think of. Here is the current to do list:

  • *Replace the Demon
    *Replace the Lost Soul
    *Replace the Revenant
    *Get some more sounds
*Replace the Zombiemen voices for when they spot the player
    *Change the stupid storyline
*Change the title to something more practical or unique

Yeah, so please play it and give me some feedback.

**Temporary title.

This is probably not a good time for a bug report.

That's GZDoom, isn't it?

I specifically designed mod for the latest version of ZDoom. So just stick with ZDoom. Oddly enough, I just tested it out in Skulltag's GL mode and I didn't get that glitch with the RPG-7 you have posted in the screenshot.

Nah, the bug doesn't seem to be with the renderer - he's running the game in widescreen.

Oh. I didn't even know there was a widescreen mode. And I just noticed that visplane's playing with the light version of The Exterminator.

I guess I am outdated, just something I noticed today while I was goofing around. You really don't need to correct this 'bug' (it can scarcely be called that, really) as I am fully capable of running the game in 1024x768

I doubt many people play Doom in widescreen anyhow =p

I only play Doom in widescreen if I'm playing it on my TV for some reason. That being said, wwhc-diaz is fully widescreen capable, and I didn't even design it like that (seems I did it by accident).

So did anyone play with the beta? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I just re-uploaded the file again. It should work now. I just tested the link.

Once again, if you get the bandwidth error, try the link again later.

Probably the way to go (what Weasel suggested), however, the link LC provided does work, Wolf, you just need to copy and paste the link into your address bar, rather than just simply clicking it.

**Edit**
Damn! This newest version is broken in GZDoom :P Oh well, when a good-looking version of ZDoom is released, I'll give this a playtest =p

I sent the file to Wildweasel. Once he has it uploaded here or something, just grab it there. The Copy/Paste method visplane mentioned works for me too.

The mod was never meant for GZDoom. It's stated in the text. Oh man, I hope when the new ZDoom comes out, it doesn't fuck up with this mod... :(
