MODELDEFS help?

ok, i have a Nice looking Soldier model (marine.md2). however, he is not holding a gun. I have another model for a gun (w_m4.md2) which is meant to be held by the soldier. is there a way i can make the soldier hold the gun ingame?

Surely te only way to make this is split this models together in 3d editor.

http://nash.wanzafran.com/doomstuff/playermodel.zip demonstrates an ugly looking hack to attach more than one model to a single actor frame.

(The best way is to manually merge both models into a single model. Q2Modeler can do this)
