Sorry that I didn't remember that. I think it's a superb looking skybox. :)

Would you please provide a link to the resource? Also, what permissions do you give (although I'm sure the text file identifies them)?

EDIT: Never mind. I did a search, and I found it on NewDooM. However, the text file says nothing about modifying the skybox textures.

Can I ask what software you used to make it? I have Terragen but I don't think it can make anything approaching that.

No question about it - I'll give you 100% of the credit.

(The project is still months away, though.)

Messing around with the resources in Heretic 2...

This zip contains the skyboxes, reconfigured to work with GZdoom. The original game graphics are in 256 colours so some of the skies pretty clearly show the effects of being 256 colour, rather than true-colour but they might be of use to someone.

Just load the zip into GZdoom without unpacking it, go to an area where you can see the sky and type:

changesky h2testX

where X is a number from 01 to 07 inclusive.

Know any good hosts? ;)

Seriously, I don't really think that I have that much to put on a website ATM. In saying that, I've been meaning to consolidate all my little tips and tricks maps and smaller resource files somewhere, throw out the old/obsolete ones etc...

Aaanyway, I stumbled across this.

http://www.lvlworld.com/review.php?id=2023

It's another Q3 skybox resource. This one makes the one that I started this thread for look tiny. It has something like 240 skyboxes in it (some are repeats from the first one I mentioned. From the preview file (I am having difficulty getting a 450mb file) it looks as if there are some very good skyboxes in here. The pack can be downloaded as one huge DL and there is also a link to a 9mb preview file and a site where the boxes can be downloaded individually. Worth looking in to if you have need of a Skybox for your GZdoom map.
